Have you ever wanted to learn to play the guitar, but you didn’t have the time in your busy schedule to drive to a music store?
Are you a seasoned player who’s looking to learn the guitar in an entirely new approach? I’ve been playing professionally for over 10 years touring the United States and Mexico, successfully teaching private lessons in guitar for 6 years. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX, recorded countless albums; two of which were GRAMMY nominated. From all of the experiences I’ve obtained, and having played in multiple ensembles in multiple genres, i.e. Country, Latin, Rock, Americana, World Music, and Jazz I have developed the techniques and strategies needed to be a great, well rounded player. I can teach you what it takes to make you the guitar player you’ve always wanted to be. Prospective students from around the country have asked me to teach them, yet distance has always been an issue. Now, through the power of the Internet, you and I can have our private lessons in guitar right in your home. No worries about spending money on gas or having to drive to your local music shop. With today’s technology, you can now learn to play the guitar in the comfort of your own home! Using a teaching method I have perfected, you will: • Learn to structure practice sessions to guarantee results. • Understand music theory, i.e. major scales, blues scale, pentatonic, and many more. • Learn and/or expand your chord vocabulary, i.e. major, minor, 7th, minor 7th, and many more. • Increase your technical ability on the guitar. • Learn to play any of your favorite tunes like the artist themselves. • Provide you with a Progress Report within 24 hours of each lesson. How do I setup lessons online with you? To schedule lessons with me, contact me via email at music@leroyesparza.com and we’ll determine a proper day and time to schedule our lessons. Note: Lessons are pre-paid using PayPal. Below are the available pricing options. Lessons are: • $30 for one, 30-minute lesson (or a $100 ‘Bundle of Four’, 30-minute lessons, which will save you $20!) • $50 for one 45-minute lesson (or a $170 ‘Bundle of Four’, 45-minute lessons, which will save you $30!). • When purchasing any of the bundle packages, students must schedule all four lessons within 30 days or student forfeits remaining lessons. From my experience, this allows the student to build a routine of practicing and reaching a goal for each lesson. Allowing too much time between lessons will impede the student’s progress. • Lessons can be rescheduled within a 5-day grace period of its initially attended time. If a rescheduled lesson is not held within the grace period, it is considered a forfeited lesson with no makeup and no refund. • There are no refunds for lessons not taken. • Tuition is not transferable from one student to another. • Lessons for two or more students in one session are not available at this time. Materials needed: • All current students (tuition) will receive sheet music via email for their lessons to be reviewed prior to each lesson. Sheet music will consist of music notation, tablatures, and/or chord progressions with diagrams designed to fit the needs and goals of the student. • Tuner – If student is unfamiliar with using a tuner, not to worry. Learning how to use it properly will be taught and demonstrated in a lesson. • Amplifier – If a student will be taking lessons using an electric guitar, it is best to have an amplifier as part of the lesson so the guitar may be heard through the computer’s microphone. • Picks (Plectrum) – not necessary if student is learning classical guitar. What do I need on my computer to take lessons? You’ll need a web-cam with a built-in microphone, or with a separate microphone. Free software required: • If you have an Apple computer, we’ll use a program called iChat. It provides you with audio and video for our online lessons. • If you have a PC computer, we’ll use Skype for our lessons. If you are unfamiliar to Skype, you can read and download the program at www.skype.com. If you want to discuss the options for lessons, have further questions, or if you would like to schedule lessons, please contact me at music@leroyesparza.com For San Antonio, Texas Residents: If you are interested in taking in-person lessons, and you live in the San Antonio, Texas area, please visit www.LJEMusicLessons.com for more information. Thank you so much, and I look forward to working with you to become the guitar player you’ve always wanted to be. Leroy Esparza |
